What is the payment process?

We accept payments through bank transfer (Taiwan), credit card and PayPal. Payments should be made before lesson begins. Details on pricing and payment options can be found on our website.

I don’t live in Taiwan. Do you offer online lessons?

Yes, we do! Our online lessons are just as effective as our on-site lessons. We incorporate a variety of online class activities to ensure that our overseas students have a highly engaging and interactive learning experience.

Do I need any prior knowledge of the language to start tutoring?

No, prior knowledge is not required. We welcome students of all levels, whether you’re an absolute beginner or an advanced learner. Our lessons are customized to your proficiency level. Book a trial lesson to receive an assessment of your current level.

Do I need to purchase the course book?

Usually, yes, we highly recommend having the textbook and workbook with you during class. These books are readily available in most major bookstores in Taiwan or for purchase online. If you encounter any difficulties obtaining them, please don’t hesitate to inform us!

How often should I schedule a class?

The frequency of sessions is tailored to your goals and schedule. For optimal progress, many of our students opt for two engaging sessions each week, lasting 1.5 to 2 hours each. However, we are more than happy to create a personalized schedule that perfectly suits your needs and preferences.

How much does a lesson cost?

A trial lesson is priced at NT$1000. After that, we recommend purchasing one of our valuable packages, which start at NT$1100 for a private lesson. For more details, please visit our Courses page.

Can I choose the time and date for my private sessions?

Yes, we offer flexible scheduling. We will send you a booking link once your payment is confirmed. You can choose the time and date for your sessions based on the schedule given. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences. Please be aware of our 24 hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. 🙂

What materials and resources will be used in the lessons?

Our primary curriculum is the A Course in Contemporary Chinese Series (當代中文課程). Additionally, we incorporate a diverse range of supplementary materials, such as worksheets, online resources, exercises, audio recordings, and more.

Can I contact you if I have questions or need help outside of tutoring sessions?

Absolutely! We encourage you to reach out via email or our official LINE account if you have questions or need assistance outside of scheduled tutoring sessions.

What happens if I was late?

The session will proceed at the scheduled time. If a student arrives late to class, missed lesson time will not be refunded. If a student fails to attend the lesson before it ends and does not submit an absence notice at least 24 hours prior to the lesson, the session will still be charged.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel a lesson?

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson, please notify us in writing at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any incurring fees. Full session fee will be deducted if notification is made less than 24 hours.

In the event of an emergency or sickness, students are allowed one emergency cancellation per term. Written notice should be provided at least 2 hour in advance in such cases.

We put forth our utmost professional efforts to ensure the quality of each lesson for every student, and in return, we genuinely appreciate your commitment. However, please understand that we are generally unable to accommodate last-minute cancellations or rescheduling, with the exception of emergency situations.

Do you offer group lessons?

Yes, we provide group lessons! Group lessons offer a cost-effective opportunity to learn and practice the language alongside others. If you have friends with similar Chinese levels, we can arrange a trial lesson for your group. Alternatively, you’re welcome to message us to join our waitlist, and we’ll place you in a group when one that matches your level becomes available.
